Can I custom paint my guitar?

How can i custom paint a guitar pic? By not ordering it.?

  You can really use any paint and a paint brush. But in order to paint one with a professional look it takes much more work than just slapping on some color. Here are the basic steps: 1) Completely disassemble the guitar 2) Using chemical stripper, remove the old finish 3) Sand bare wood with 100 grit sandpaper to remove any remaining finish, then with 180 grit and 220 grit. Avoid rounding off any sharp edges or changing contours 4) Spray at least 8 coats of sandable lacquer primer (car spray paint... read the label) allowing them to dry at least 15 minutes between coats. When all coats are on allow to dry at least 48 hours 5) Sand primer with 220 grit paper only until smooth 6) Apply enough lacquer color coat to cover the body. This will probably take 2-3 coats. Apply 15 to 20 coats clear lacquer allowing 10 minutes between coats. When complete allow to dry at least 7 days 7) Wet sand the body with 600, then 800, then 1000, then 1500 grit sandpaper. Be careful not to sand through to the color coats. Use a sanding block to keep the surface level 8) Finally, use rubbing compound and polishing compound to complete the job.
