How To Make Money At Craft Fairs?

Looking for Craft Ideas to Make Money?

  • I'm a stay-at-home mom and was thinking of trying to make a little extra income on different hand-made crafts. I'd had a few ideas but wasn't really sure. Does anyone have some great ideas of crafts that would sell well?

  • Answer:

you had a few ideas thats great.... You wernt sure about them- have more confidence and just do it. Its obviously something you have interest in so give it ago and see how much you sell, you might just surprise yourself. The secret is not to question your ideas and just do it..

Pet related products. Bake doggy cookies, decorate collars and leashes, doggy tags, beds, etc. Seems like that is one industry that has been affected by the economy.

Wreaths, baskets, pinch pots, sewing, knitting, crocheting. Wreaths will sell well, especially this time of year. Use craigslist.com to try and sell your products and make them known. Good luck

It all really depends on what kind of craft you like to do. If you enjoy painting (and are at least decently talented at it) you could paint pictures of pets, flowers, fruits and such things. Painting is a great way to show emotions!! :D If you don't enjoy painting that much, you could try creating/selling homemade ornaments (which if they're good should go fast since the holiday season is almost here!). Here's some websites with step-by-step instructions on making homemade ornaments. If you use these you could always use them as a base and costomise to make them your own ideas (fun and creative, and possibly help from the kids?) http://www.christmascraftfreebies.com/ornaments.html http://www.care2.com/greenliving/homemade-holiday-ornaments.html http://www.mormonchic.com/crafty/homemade-ornaments.asp Hopefully these help!! Good luck!! :D

Knitting on the Knifty Knitter seems easy and there's different size Knifties so you can start small and work your way up. Making jewelry is fun and a big hit with a friend of mine (she sells what she makes and is doing really well). You can find beads and tools at joann.com, hancockfabrics.com, and firemountaingems.com. If you know how to sew, you can make small quilts and see how you do. If they begin to become profitable, you can start making bigger and bigger ones. There's endless possibilities and I wish you the best of luck!
