What is the Value of a 1888 O Silver dollar?

  • I have a 1888 O Silver dollar, minted in New Orleans. It's in fair shape, everything on it can be read, I was wondering what it was worth? Anything you can help with would be greatly appreciated! Just trying not to over, or underprice. Thanks

    It's not scarce, so with the amount of wear you are describing, it has very little value to a collector. There are just too many Mint State uncirculated coins to meet collector demand. A coin like yours would be bought for the silver. It has just under $26 worth of silver at today's closing price for the metal. Shops in my area are paying $20 - $22.
