How To Make 3D Origami?

Does anyone know how to make a 3D origami star? It is about the size of a nickel.?

• Please dont give me a link to directions on how to make a star, unless its REALLY clear and I mean it. I already tried directions but they are so confusing!

  Start with a strip of paper. I like to use straw wrappers, with the straw removed, and flattened, because that's about the right size. First, we will make a pentagon, a five sided object. To do this, start by tying a knot in the paper. NO! don't pull tight, you'll rip the paper! Just get it so it's as tight as it can be, and then flatten it down. The knot should be near one end of the paper, and once you've tied that, you can fold the other end so that it's on top of the knot without any pieces hanging over. You should now have a pentagon, with a long tail of paper off one side. You'll notice that if you fold this long piece of paper over the pentagon, it will go along one edge of the pentagon. Then you flip it over, and wrap the strip onto the other side. Yes, just wrap the tail end back and forth around the pentagon, getting it lined up with the edges every time. You'll have the strip of paper going from one edge, along another endge, and then folding over the far edge, not touching two edges at one end. This will leave a sort of pocket on one side of the pentagon. When you've used up most of the paper, tuck the loose end into that pocket, and you'll have a very flat pentagon shape. Ready for the hard part? you have to make the pentagon into a star. Inside the pentagon shape, the edges of the paper have been making the shape of a star, bunching up a little material in there. You can kind of feel it. What you need to do is push in the edges, so that the star shape will puff open. You'll probably need to try several times before you get it right. A lot of them will probably end up with a star that has a hole in one side, because it didn't puff open all on the side you wanted it to. Just keep trying. Every time you get fast food, use the straw, and you'll figure it out pretty soon.
