I need some info about greeting cards that can be planted (and grow into flowers). Can anyone help?
-
I'm talking about greeting cards made from organic paper with flower seeds embedded in it, so that instead of throwing them away, you can bury them and watch them grow into flowers. I've checked out websites, but I need some more info from common people. I would appreciate any answers. Here are the Qs: - Have you (or Would you) buy it? - If you have (or would), what is/was it for? Personal needs (for family or friends) or company needs? - And for what occasions? Like wedding greetings, Birthday, Valentine's Day, Christmas, or can it be used as wedding thank you gifts for the guests? - Would these cards be more suitable for kids, teens, adults, or perhaps older people? - Do you think using plantable cards classify as "green" (eco-friendly) attitude? - Any other info you'd like to add? Thank you so much! This is very urgent.

Answer:
-I have bought something similar to it, and would to buy more. -I bought it for my mom for mother's day. -I think that it could be used for any occasion, it is easy to use and very cute. Even adding a small pot would b cute if it was a gift. - I don't think kids would appreciate them, but perhaps teens, adults, and plant-loving seniors. -I think it is a very eco-friendly attitude. They are classy and can be very useful. I would also like to add, that there are other options similar to this, such as the same type of paper that you can buy in sheets to decorate a card with. That was how I used mine and my mother loved it!

I love that idea - never even thought about it, but I would buy them like a shot for most things. Green? yes, probably - although I reuse them as either shopping lists or shredded paper for ebay packaging!

I think they may be nice as condolence cards.

-I recieved one close to what you talking about, except it was a postcard and you could open it up (the seeds weren't in the paper, but I have heard of the you're talking about) -I recieved from an open house at a quarry company -suitable from teens upwards. definitly not kids, cuz they're still young and probably would forget to water them -definitly green

Bought one for my mom for Mother's Day this year, she's been having a hard time deciding whether to keep it or plant it. I think adult or older people are more suitable. I would assume they'd classify as "green".

- Have you (or Would you) buy it? I don't buy them, but that's because I liked the idea so much that I make them myself. - If you have (or would), what is/was it for? Personal needs, but it would make a neat thank you note from realtors to families buying a home - And for what occasions? I'd tend to use them for wedding, birthday, thank you, wedding favors. I was going to use them for my wedding, but opted for bulbs in a tiny pot (same basic idea though) - Would these cards be more suitable for...? Sold a lot of plantable tags for easter presents for kids. Perfect for all ages. Had thought that only people with yards would want them, but have sold some to people living in big cities who planned to plant them in the window sill. - Do you think using plantable cards classify as "green"? Yes, but only if you're using junk mail or office paper that would've been thrown away. Buying the seeds defeats that purpose too, so I harvest mine from our garden. I market mine as recycled, which matches the theme of the other items I make/sale. - Any other info you'd like to add? Do you already know where you're selling them? Be sure to investigate that first. Good pictures of the items are very important if doing online. Pricing is very important, online searching will help you learn approximately what they're selling for. Good luck!
