Are stickers normally waterproof?

Are vellum stickers waterproof?

• I just bought some vellums stickers from the store because I thought they looked nice and wanted put them on some accessories around the house like the soap dispenser. But are they waterproof?

  From the research I just did on vellum stickers, it appears that they've been designed only for paper products. But, from my own use of different craft items, I know that if you paint a glaze over paper which is safe to use with plastic, it should hold down any item that you want to be waterproof. Just be sure that the glaze or sealant that you choose is waterproof and will adhere to paper, or plastic as the case may be. A good general glaze is the same one that you would use to make sculpey clay items shiny. Check with your local craft store, or online because some glazes and sealants are matte finish, glossy finish. And make sure that the finish is clear. Good luck with your idea. I really like it.
