What's a good blogging site for interest blogging and not just personal blogging?

I can only find sites where most people just write bogs about their personal life. I wanted to find a site where I could maybe put up baking recipes and pictures and have people that are interested in the same things as me respond to my page. Would I do that on a blogging site or is that something else? And what sites would you recommend I try?
