What is a good craft to make?

What are some things I can make and sell at a craft fair?

  • Hey eveyone! I am a 13 year old girl. I am attending a craft fair in October. I know this is probably WAY to early to be worrying about this, but i might attend sooner craft fairs too, so i need to be prepared. I have already made duct tape wallets that I'll be selling for $5 and bookmarks with popular things on them such as my little pony and nyan cat that i will be selling for three dollars. I still need some more things i can make and sell. I am an ok sewer but not good enough to sell my creations. I can also crochet pretty well, so i may make a few hats. Do you guys know anything else I can sell? please dont suggest anything that has to do with sewing. Thanks!

Make more crocheted stuff, not just hats. You can make scarves, gloves, purses, throw pillow case, phone case, stuffed toys, etc. If you're into beading, you can also make jewelry such as bracelets, necklaces, etc. There are also project that you can do with very minimum sewing required, such as brooches, wrist cuffs, etc. Home decors are also quite nice. The trick is to have a good variety of items at your stall, a combination of needs and wants, items for women and kids, super cute items that shoppers would find hard to resist and can easily buy on a whim without hurting their budget.

The sky's the limit! :) Craft sales will help you sell anything crafty you can think of to make. If you can crochet well you have a pretty wide variety if things you could whip up....hats, socks, shawls, baby blankets/clothes, sweaters, etc... I was raised by a very crafty grandmother who was always making things for craft fairs and I have seen just about everything you can think of at these things, hand-made jewelry, post cards, dolls, clothes (I know you said no sewing stuff but there are many things you could crochet), candles, soaps, wood work, the list could go on and on. Pretty much anything you can add your own personal twist on that could prove to be useful. Maybe think of some of your own favorite hobbies to get some ideas. I am a crafter myself and <3 making the useful out of the seemingly useless! Good luck!!
