Do I need a licence to fly an airplane?

How can I find a partner to buy an airplane to start piloting ground school so we can split expenses?

  • I am planning on buying an air plane which is a cheaper way to learn pilotting and building hours to get commercial pilot licence and I am sure there are some people who are looking for a partner.this is like finding a roommate so you can split expenses.For an airplane partners don't even have to be in a same city or state because both need to build hours and this even can help so you can fly to your partners state and then spend some time together practicing and sharing what you learnt from your instructor while you are flying back to your state with your partner and then your partner takes the air plane home.so please tell me if you have any information.

    My father was a small plane pilot when I was a teenager. We always had bar-b-que picnics once a month, and met lots of other pilots. We also hung around the hangers, and my brother and I worked by helping people get ready for their flights, and cleaned up around the area. By associating with other fliers, we were able to find people who wanted to form partnerships like you want. I would suggest you spend every spare minute of your time meeting and helping other airplane folk.

I assume you already have a private pilot's license, and are looking to get your commercial license. If that's the case then try Craig's list or google pilot sites for chat rooms. If you're just starting out, no way it's cheaper to buy a plane. Build up your hours with an instructor, renting his time and the plane's time. You can get your license with less than 100 hours of time renting the plane, which is WAY cheaper than buying. Also, if you don't have your private license, you can't buy an airplane, or fly it.
