Sewing question/designing a jacket?

• I am planning on taking sewing lessons and hoping to get good enough to make my own jacket. Here is a description of what I want. I would like some advice/ideas on how to make it: It would be made out of cotton, a slightly heavy weight, but not too heavy. I want it to be a black/dark green color. The length of the jacket will be long, like mid thigh/knees. The sleeves will be normal long sleeves, maybe a bit baggy. And now here is where I want the jacket to be unique. Instead of the basic zipper, in the middle of the jacket, I want an underbust corset! The busk with the garter tabs will be in the front, and it wil lace up in the back. When you put the jacket on, you'll lock the corset together in the front and then tightlace it in the back. I want it to be a real authentic corset, with steal boning. When fully on, a slight v shape would be made in the collar area, and then the corset--underbust--would begin. It would be about 11 inches tall, then the coat would open up in the front with about six inches of fabric, in the back it would be slightly longer, about a foot of fabric. Well, any advice. How would I go about making this?

  this is not a project for a beginner sewer. or even a intermediate sewer. Designing clothes and make a pattern is for sewers with experience in draping and pattern making. You need to be able to layout, cut and sew from a pattern first
