Yeah! I have done soapmaking for girl scout troops and birthday parties. Most craft stores have soapmaking supplies. It's easy - melt glycerin in microwave or on stovetop, stir in scent and color, add glitter if you want. Pour into molds. Stick in refrigerator for about 30min - 1 hr. Unmold and wrap in saran wrap or clear cellophane bags with pretty ribbon. Let them take them home. Bath salts are also easy to make. You could also do manicures and pedicures and make it a "spa" party! Good luck.

I took my daughter and her friends out movie, eat, and then to a motel rented double rooms adjoining, spend the night where they swam in the indoor pool, played games and did make overs in their room. Next morning big breakfast and home. They loved it. It was in the mid of winter so a indoor pool was a lot of fun.

She's now a REAL TEEN. You can't force her to do baby things Mom! Talk to her well before hand. Tell her that you trust her to act responsibly to keep her and her friends safe. Make sure she's got her cell phone with her (or let her borrow yours). Then drive her and her three best friends to the mall, with enough cash for dinner and a movie and games in the arcade afterwards. Tell her that you're going to be picking ALL OF THEM up at the same entrance at 10 p.m. or 11 p.m., NO LATER (whatever time is one hour after the end of the movie). And trust her to see that she is there to meet you. Make sure you clear this idea first with the parents of the other girls involved. Oh, and it should all be girls...no boys allowed. And then talk your younger sister into going to the mall (for whatever reason seems feasable) and keeping a long eye out on the group.

Ideas for a present or a party? For a present, you can make her a make up bag full of coordinating colors and a manicure set, or a purse stuffed with goodies (if you can afford it maybe add-in a prepaid cell) For a party do a slumber make over party. Buy a bunch of cheap (unless money is not an issue) makeup from a dollar store, get things for manis and pedis, get all your hair things together. get things like face scubs/masks, lotions and perfumes and let them do an at home spa then let them start fixing each other up, don't forget the camera and have fun with them!
