Where to buy ronsonol lighter fluid?

What is a flamable thing that is similar to lighter fluid that i can buy in a store?

• im trying to build a tennis ball cannon and i need some lighter fluid, the only problem is that you need to be 18 to buy it ( i just turned 15 today) but what is similar and i can buy in a store? and not hairspray.

  There are several possibilities: Naptha from the paint store is virtually the same as lighter fluid. It is the chemical used in charcoal lighter fluid to get it started. Charcoal fluid may have other less volatile stuff in it. "Heet" gasoline line antifreeze is very pure wood alcohol. This may be too hot for a cannon. It is highly volatile. Acetone from the nail polish remover is very low flash point but might not give enough time to get the cannon loaded. It is highly volatile. The welding shop might have a small container of calcium carbide crystals. 2 or 3 crystals and a teaspoon of water will make a nice blend of aceylene gas and air. This will make a good bang if it does not send the tennis ball out of sight.
