Why do parents tell their kids ages in 1/2s? 10 ... 10 1/2...it's all the same. Get a big aquarium, and let the boys put different fish in it and learn. Animals make kids grow up better.

having boys shouldn't stop you from knitting,you could do it for people you know of your local children's hospital were I'm sure it will be much appreciated

Hats, scarves and mittens are always appreciated, even by boys. Throws and afghans are fun if you like a nice longterm project that you can carry with you everywhere. My mother spent a summer knitting knitting me a beautiful lighthouse throw that is much nicer than anything I could have found in a store, and it doesn't look like a granny blanket, either. Dish scrubbies are a good quick project and they are very useful. .

I would advise you to make things then donate them. For your boys, how about a nice afghan for each of them. They might treasure them forever! (I know I would)

There is such a wide range of things you could make for boys - blankets for their beds, sweaters, hats, mittens, socks - the list goes on and on...... Just make sure it is in a fiber the boys like (let them pick it out)!!! Good luck and happy knitting.....

There are many things you can crochet for boys. There are some basic patterns for slippers (use puffy paint on bottom to prevent slipping, hats (ski caps), mittens, scarves. Well if you are in the cold climate. Boys wear sweaters, and play with teddy bears. And little boys love to snuggle up with a blanket made just for them the same as girls. Just use their favorite colors or their favorite team colors and they will love it.

Blankets/afghans are always good beginner projects. You could always just make something for yourself if you want to make an article of clothing.
