How To Cure Rosacea?

I have ROSACEA (redness, inflamation on face) - How can I cure this?

  • It REALLY bothers me alot. .I have redness and inflamation on nose and cheeks (with some small visible veins on my nose). It always feels hot and gets worse with stress, some foods (spicy, sweet, dairy), and most of all: with heat. I am 18/male and had this problem for 4 years.. Gets worse every year. Im sick of it and want to get to the bottom of it. I've tried everything that can be offered by western doctors.. Metrogel, antibiotics, so on.. NOTHING has helped, just aggravated it. It has been steadily getting worse every year, and now is 100% permanent. As far as alternative medicine, I have tried Accupuncture for a month (no results), and am now trying ayurveda, so far for 1 week (no results as of now). What do you think would be the best thing to do to GET rid of this! I can't stand it anymore. (I also suffer from fatigue.....related?)

  • Answer:

Make sure thats what you really have, skin problems can be hard to identify, they look so much alike.

Feeling self conscious about it must be really depressing so I feel for you. It may just be a hormonal reaction since you are at that age :):)

There is a cosmetic "cure" for this. You need to go to a cosmetic dermatologist. There are several laser treatments intended to treat rosacea. One is called a pulsed-dye laser. "Multiple treatments are usually required. The newer vascular lasers can be modified so that the pulse of light is on for longer which results in reduced bruising after the treatment. Experience shows particularly with the pulsed dye laser that those who are treated more aggressively and bruise may indeed respond better." I have listed the website to go to below. Please keep in mind that health plans will not cover the cost but at 18 years old,you are most likely working you can set aside some money every pay or ask the doctor about financial options so you can make small monthly payments. Good luck!

There is no exact cure for this as it can be caused by several factors. The thing is some cortisone/steroid based creams can get the red off ur skin. But u should always watch out for spicy for alcohol and irritating stuff on ur skin. The most effective thing is not stressing about it as it will only make it worse. Try to keep ur skin clean.Have goodluck
