What is the best way to make Kombucha tea?

A friend of mine gave me a Kombucha mushroom today and I would like to make Kombucha tea. Do you have any suggestions? I would love to hear from people who make their own Kombucha tea!! Also, please tell me if you've experienced any positive health benefits from your Kombucha tea. Thanks!
