l-theanine is wonderful for nerves and anxiety. I've just discovered it and it works very well. I also take 5htp last thing at night. Valerian is good for helping you to sleep, but can cause tiredness the next day. Try the l-theanine though - It will calm you down without making you feel sleepy.

Tesco - very little help

IIt has to be Borage. Very safe, and no side effects, supports the adrenals, and keeps you able to deal with stressful situations calmly. Grow it for its beautiful blue flowers, and if you're lucky, pick it wild in May or June. In the meantime ,get the tincture from a herbalist's shop. Holland & Barrett might have it. Good luck.

Calcium is supplement which is called the relaxing mineral. I'd take a calcium citrate suppelement with magnesium (separately). Also 5HTP is supposed to be good for nerves. PS> & of course the B vitamins. Perhaps B Complex supplement.

Quia

You can try herbal essence lozenges which are known to produce a quick calming effect (see below to try a tin for free).
