How do you become a pharmacy tech in California?

    I'm not sure about that hour thing but if it is like dental assisting it would depend on the place you work. you can obviously go to school and get a certification but when i worked a dentist office i had no experience whatsoever in the dental field. i walked in and applied for "sterilization tech." pretty soon i was assisting the dentist on a regular basis. the only thing that i needed was an x-ray license which i had to get at a school. so i would think you should call around or if you have a specific place that is willing to do that for you go ahead and ask. most pharmacist that i have dealt with (women anyway) have been more that happy to help me when i had questions so i'm sure they could help you better than anyone else could.
