Vitamin users: Do you prefer the Schiff brand over Shaklee?

• I do, because Schiff has been in business for over 70 years, formerly under the Weidner name. They have recently released a new product called Mega D3 which contains natural formulation of other ingredients. D3 is more potent than D2 giving you 5000 iu per capsule compared to 250 iu in other brands; Shaklee's D3 does not list all the benefits like Schiff's brand does. Both are about equally priced. I have begun to lose trust in Shaklee's quality, because of an oversight on one of their baby products. The multi vitamin and mineral powder for babies had iodine exceeding the labeling of the product. Shaklee has done what was expected to correct the problem and reimburse purchasers. Here is a company that boasts on the strictest quality control and to foul up on a baby product loses my trust in them. Been a user of both brands for 30 years and will only stick with Schiff now.   I do not use those brands at all . I used to use Schiffs but moved on to other brands. I take mega doses of vitamins as I have for over 40 yrs when I was so ill and a doctor that knew how to cure me was the one that made the difference from the doctors that wanted to sedate me and make me less then useful so prescribed tranquilizers and antidepressants because they knew nothing about the eating habits of teenagers.
