How do you find past Yahoo questions?

Does anyone else on here find some of the questions asked to be just SICK???? How does yahoo stop them?

  • Have you found some questions on yahoo answers to be perverted, sick, disgusting, and offensive to the general moral standard of humanity???? For example, one user, which I have reported several times, REPEATEDLY asks about sexual exploitation/mutilation/death of small children and infants!! SICK-- What is Yahoo doing to stop this? My children get on here and see that crap.

    There is no doubt that there are a great deal of sick and twisted questions AND answers on this site. Everyone will agree with you on that (those who don't are those who are asking such things or involved with them). The most that can be done at this point is users report these questions and answers using the "report/abuse" link. After you fill out the online form, a Yahoo! Answers staff member gets the message about it and reviews the question. If it's questionable, it gets deleted. It's not a perfect system, but it does work to the best of its own ability. I can agree though that the system needs improving. Perhaps having a key word search that looks for certain words in close proximity to each other and then if the question has certain words in it in close proximity it gets sent to a staff member before being posted?

Yahoo deletes the stupid questions when someone reports them, and sometimes all I do is report the gay questions

report it and maybe after a while yahoo just won't let them sign on anymore. lol....it is sick, I hope yahoo does something.

I agree with you 100%! There should be a lot more screening done here even if they have to screen all before it hits the viewers. I feel as disgusted as you do and sometimes I will not even open some of these things for the same reason.

Use the report abuse button under the questioner's name.I,too,am sickened by the behavior of these very immature posters.Some of these ignorant excuses for humanity think that they are being funny.They like getting a rise out of people.The best thing to do isnot to reward them with negative attention,the only kind of attention they probably get, and don't answer them but use the report abuse button and turn these people in to Yahoo.

You will probably need to monitor children's internet activity quite closely. The abusers of the Yahoo!ANWERS agreement can be reported, but not in time for them to remove the offenders questions or responses before your children may see them. The internet is not the greatest place for children to be, unless highly supervised, which is logistically impossible many times.

yes some of the things you see are sick and disgusting. but don't be so quick to want someone else to filter the bad things out. be your own sensor. show the bad things to your kids and make them understand that they are bad. how else can they learn to be disgusted for themselves? if you let someone else filter for you, next they'll be burning books just like the nazis.
