Why do north indians hate south indians?

Why am I ashamed to be called an Indian and hate other Indians especially North Indians?

  • I hail from Kerala and I am extremely ashamed to call my self an Indian but I love it when people call me Keralite.Of course we are more educated and refined than other Indians.I hate all other Indians though I reside in Dubai where there are large number of Indians,I mingle only with Keralites as well as other foreign nationalities.I would never ever get along with an Indian of some other state.Is this a weird attitude?IWhat could be the reason behind it?

Maybe Indians from other states have not been nice to you? Being an Indian I know that South Indians are often treated rudely by other states. That's why you feel secure and happy among other Keralites. Indians are not perceived as very smart, maybe thats why you're ashamed of being Indian?
