Is Brown University considered a prestigious university worldwide?

When is a university considered ELITE (in Canada)?

• Is the University of Toronto considered one? (Please answer only if you are in U of T, or in an elite university in North America. THANKS.) I hear it's hard to get into the University of Toronto. There are 3 campuses...in one campus alone they had 22,000 applicants, and only 3000 were chosen. There are at least 70,000 students there overall. It is also the most well-known university in Canada, but I heard Queens and McGill were considered elite?

  I know that Queen's has been considered elite for a long time. I went there though and I wasn't a particularly good student in high school. You just gotta apply and see what happens. Apply to school you want to go to and see what happens.
