When would you block someone on Yahoo! Answers?

I block if someone is extremly rude or offensive

I don't block them, they block ME.

If someone posts spam, too many avatar games, or they are insulting me or something I feel strongly about.

I have had to block a few answerers because they came across in a rude way (in my opinion) when answering the questions I've asked in the past.

I block people for using too much profanity and also just being really rude and annoying.

if someone insults me in an EXTREME manor through messages when they have nothing to back themselves up, and then i respond with my answer (trying to be as non-insulting as possible because that only shows you are lower than the person by retaliating) and then i ask them not to respond to me because i dont want to continue the conversation. if they continue to insult me after i have made my wishes known to them that i dont want them to contact me, i block them. ex: someone messaged me telling me that they wished i was raped by a lezbian and hope that after that they kill me. but hey, a little tip......not being rude or anything but these points you are talking about....the ones we get for answering questions and getting best answer etc...they mean nothing. so dont take it too seriously. dont go looking for someone to see revenge on....it only shows YOUR immaturity, and your lack of being the bigger person. this cite is clearly just to give people advise, im not here for pts...but to help people that ask for it. edit: i didnt mean any of my answer to be an insult. but you have completely changed your answer.... first you complain about losing points. thats the only reason why i responded the way i did. now you are changing it so that you want your thoughts out like a blog. thats also why people are deleting your answers/question. because THIS cite, is not a blog. its an answer cite. if you start blogging and answering questions for your OWN benefit then that IS a violation on this cites guidelines..... please dont take it personal. but its the truth.. if you wish to blog somewhere else where your thoughts will be known to others and not get deleted. go to a blog cite. like blogspot.com thats where i go.

That is so annoying. I don't see why people would waste time reporting someone. That is so annoying. I reported someone twice (it was the same person with 70 points) He was talking about molesting kids and he would molest one of ours (just anyone from yahoo answers, I guess) if he could. I wanted to have my fiance throw his fist through the computer screen and punch him. He was being real graphic and I couldn't read it anymore.. So I reported him and his other question like that. I hate sick people in this world. Even if he just typed it to get attention and start a fight, he must have been sick in the head to even TYPE something like that.. It still bothers me to this day! I will block someone sick like I mentioned or I would block someone that says on here they are trolls and likes to report people. Usually their account gets suspended in no time. I don't accept contacts on here due to the fact that people was reporting my questions and answers that there was nothing wrong with them and I got suspended. I would NEVER, EVER report someone for nothing. They would have to say something that would bother me. There are kids on this website and some people needs to think of that. But if they ask a question in the Marriage and Divorce section about whatever they want (pretty much), I think they have a right to in that section. But when they go to the preteen/adolescent section and write something like that, I think it is wrong. You can usually tell when the person means to do harm. I hope you find out who is doing that to you! That gets annoying!!

I block people and have no problem admitting it. For one reason only: based on their posts or mainly their answers, I DO NOT want their advice, answer, opinion or fact. I found them either ignorant, arrogant, or just plain rude. If you want to be that type of person on here that is fine, but you will not answer my questions because, frankly, I don't want to hear what you have to say.
