What do you consider worse, physical hurt or insulting hurt?

I just told my boss i got another job offer, and im consider accepting, and he seemed hurt?

• I told my boss i got a job offer, and he seemed hurt, he did not specifically offer the same amount but said its not a proble, and he also said 5 years from now i can buy shares in the company - but i dont even get paid enough to be able to do that! i used to drink on the daily after work, and i have been sober for 2 months now and feeling completely down, and i think a large part of it has to do with work, and not being happy. i feel like a new start would make me happy, but i dont want to do something that i would regret: ie. loose out on ownership of a company, etc. My salary sucks now, and the boss does things to piss me off, with the new company, i have been promised a good chance of advancement, 20% salary increase, vehicle paid for, and gas paid for. Their company is well respected, the owner is about to retire, his 32 year old son taking over.... What should i do? suggestions?

  Leave and move on to the next job. Your old job is not offering anything for you. Plus you dont know what will happen when the son takes over. Its time for a new start.
