How can I do a standing front/back flip?

Why do men think they have to pee standing up at home?

  • I don't care what you do in the men's room, I don't clean that one. But all the reasons I've read on other YAnswers for this question seem silly to me. 1. It's a guy thing, and they HAVE TO STAND - really? You pee sitting when you're also pooping. So what? If I were out in the wilderness and could pee standing up, I would too, but at home with modern plumbing there's no need to be marking territory..especially when you don't plan on cleaning up your splatter. 2. It's cleaner. The top of the seat you sit on at home is clean, cuz we women don't pee on the seat. (And if for some reason we accidentally did, WE'D wipe it up.) Also, if you have to lift the seat that you probably peed on the underside of earlier when you were standing and it splattered, or if you flush the toilet, touching the handle which everyone touches (especially icky and loaded with bacteria), you should be washing your hands after every time you use a restroom anyway. Also, although so many of you are either blind or oblivious or are SO SURE you NEVER miss, you DO get the walls, the side of the sink vanity, the floor, the toilet rim, the underside of the seat, other parts of the toilet. Really, how is this cleaner? You mean cuz you refuse to clean it up, or feign you didn't know? Right. This is especially true for those of you peeing drunk, half asleep, or in the dark. It's only cleaner cuz you think you don't have to touch your pee, cuz us wives will do it for you once we accidentally step in your floor splatter or find it all over the toilet as we put the seat back down. 3. It's faster. Only if the seat is already up, and you refuse to clean up the mess you made while standing. Cuz cleaning up your mess actually would take longer wouldn't it? (See above). We are not your maids, we don't want to touch your pee, and don't make you touch ours. I have only lived with a couple males who peed sitting and I NEVER had to clean up splattered pee anywhere. All other males that I have had the "pleasure" of using the restroom after, have left their territory marked and disgusting and I don't want to clean up after you, especially if I really need to go and don't want to take the time "holding it" to clean up the mess you should have cleaned up yourself. You are not potty training children that I HAVE to clean up after, you are grown ups...so responsible grown ups either clean up their messes, or try not to make them in the first place - aka sitting. If you insist on standing....wipe up your own pee please! ps - Asking your wives to hover is so neanderthal and ungentlemanly...especially when we are pregnant and unbalanced...or any time really...so that excuse is absurd. After all the effort we go through to bring you males into the world, raise you, and send you out into the world competent, considerate human beings, you could make the minimal effort it takes to show us women a little consideration and wipe it up yourself! Now can someone please explain to me why they must stand when it makes such a mess? (If you think you don't, you are kidding yourself and need to look closer.) I'm really not trying to be a jerk about it, but it seems that when a guy says it's easier for him to pee standing and then doesn't clean up after himself, which most don't - let's be real, he's really saying, I don't care that I just gave my wife/gf/mom more work to do. As long as it's easy for you, who cares if you make life ickier and harder for us? This is the message being sent to us. As if we don't have enough work to do already? So I sincerely ask - why?

  • Answer:

Every point you make concerning hygiene is valid, no argument. But I GUARANTEE an argument every time you try to tell someone else in what manner and/or position they must perform bodily functions if they are to meet with your approval. I suggest you have the cleaning supplies basket at the ready and ask them to clean up their own mess. I suspect they will find it less offensive.

I'v never done that before, seriously. I always sit.

Throw some Cheerios in the toilet bowl & tell your man to sink them. That should improve his aim.

TheLibster

Its hard to sit down and pee. The toilet bowl, or should i say seat, is not designed for the added appendage of a man. If there was an added, round gap in the seat, for his added appendage to hang while sitting. Then men might sit down more while peeing. Instead, the way it is now, when they sit, they have to sit down and tuck their "thing" into the bowl. Adding to the chance they wipe their hand on the side of the bowl while tucking it in. And getting pee on their hands. As i said, there needs to be more room on the toilet seat, bowl for them to sit all the time. Its a design flaw in the way the toilet was made. It was made for woman to sit, not men. The new design could look a little like this ----------------> oO The picture is a bit out of proportion, but hopefully you get my point

Mr Warrior

Because we are MEN. And that is how MEN roll. Seriously though, if your (husband/boyfriend/son/other male roommate) pees on the toilet seat, just ask him about it. Maybe he's being polite (and somewhat lazy) by keeping the seat down for you.

Mac

You should move in with me, you would'nt have to clean up after me because I don't pee in the toilet, I pee in the kitchen sink.

William

It's easier, moron. Plus, what if the toilet seat is cold? You're just jealous that we can circumvent that problem. I usually give public, gender-neutral toilets a blastin'. I like the thought that it might inconvenience women.

Bob Royers

They think that it is possible, it is easy.

tanakprd

Because we can.

Satans Pig

no one HAS to do anything... thanks for reminding me.
