How do you write an application for salary increase?

When writing a letter of application for a job - how should you write your salary expectations?

  • I am unsure of how to include my salary expetations in a letter without sounding rude.

When writing the letter and naming your salary,take into consideration the time on the job and if this is a professional job ask for what someone just starting that job gets good luck.

don't put anything b/c if u put 2 much they will pass u by but if u put 2 little they will either pass u by or take advantage of u b/c they will think that you're underqualified.put open for discussion and they will discuss it with u at the interview.

Never a good idea on a CV or application letter, it can be discussed at interview stage but always make it one of your last questions, don't launch into it when the interviewer asks if you have any questions. If it asks you on an application form, it pays to do a little homework into how much the company pays. Then fill in the form as though you were expecting slightly less than the job pays. I have even written on application forms, job satisfaction.

look at the newpapers (or internet) and see how much the same jobs get paid... most companies want to know how much one is earning already so it is better to add about 10% to it. Sometimes it will work, however when they say you are to expensive, you can always say you willing to negotiate to get extra experienece in their good company.
