How to make a fast mini sailboat?

My boyfriend keeps telling me that I should make my 12 year old wear make up and mini skirts. Should I?

  • We've been dating for 2 months and I really love him and value his opinion. He's great with my kids and he buys my daughter things all the time. But the thing is, I'm starting to feel uncomfortable with the attention and gifts he's giving my daughter. He buys her lots of make- expensive make up from Mac and Sephora and he buys her mini skirts and underwear and high heels. I know that he's spending a lot of money on these gifts, and I feel uncomfortable that he's trying so hard to impress me. He keeps telling me to let her grow up and become a woman and to let her wear mini skirts and make up. I don't know what I should do. I mean, if he's spending that much money on my kid to impress me, he must really like me. and what's the harm in letting my daughter wear make up? I started wearing make up at 13 and I turned out fine. What should I do?

    While I agree with the others that this guy is a creep and a pervert, I am going to go a little further. What in the world is wrong with you that you even need to ASK this question? You are this child's mother and you can't see that he is paying just a little too much attention to this girl? Does he have to out and out rape her before you get it? You are responsible for protecting your child from the likes of him, and all you're worried about is whether or not he's going to think you don't value his opinion. If you don't know that 12 years old is TOO young for your daughter to go on the market, so to speak, then you BOTH need to be away from her. I think you have some growing up to do.

If anyone bought my 12 year old daughter underwear, unless it were my mum, I'd freak out big time. What on earth does he think he's doing?! Of course you could argue that the mini skirts, heels and make-up are inappropriate, but underwear? No, no, no, no, no!! There's nothing wrong with girls that age experimenting with make-up and stuff; they're hitting puberty, and they want to look pretty - clearly you turned out ok. But you are her mum and you need to make sure she's not overdoing it. Tell your boyfriend that whilst you appreciate the gifts and the attention he's giving her, you have control as her mum, and you think he should tone it down. Maybe suggest other things he could buy. But for god's sake, underwear?! I really can't believe that. Seriously, I think that's wrong. If he buys her that again I'd tell him that's in appropriate and needs to stop right now, or else. * EDIT: on reflection, seriously, he's buying her UNDERWEAR? I agree with most of the people above. I think this guy's a creep.

You need to talk to your daugther and ask her if he has tried anything with her, because he seriously sounds like a pedophile. END THE RELATIONSHIP! What the holy h*%l this is super creepy. What grown man would encourage a 12 year to wear makeup and mini skirts? This all sounds extremely suspicious, extremely. Back up and stop thinking he is doing any of this to try and impress you. Underwear, some biological fathers are uncomfortable buying their own daughters underwear, this guy should be even more uncomfortable.
