    Well there's the one armed hug, which puts more distance between two people and the one arm means you aren't as involved in giving the hug. A friendly (usually between two males) could be a hug combined with a pat on the back. There's a full embrace with two arms fully locked around each other and this is usually between two closer people. A quick little grabbing of each others shoulders with bent elbows so that it's almost a hug but not really is a little bit of an awkward hug. When holding hands you could either lace fingers which is usually a more intimate hand holding. Or there is the hands cupping each other which is more innocent or friendly.
