Break problems on a yz125.

Civil Union - taking a break? 8 years together...but wants to make it work? (Problems with alcohol/death?)?

• I LOVE LOVE LOVE - my "Sam". We've been together for 8+ years. No kids. Twice a year or so we have problems always alcohol related. Its hard because I enjoy drinking ocassionally - and handle myself well, go to bed when Im too buzzed and sleep it off. My guy....at least once a year, he'll drink WAY too much, problems will be caused and you can imagine it only does damage through the years. Sam also had a friend that was murdered in his home by a person who broke into his home. I am feeling kind of dull/blank/neutral - because I LOVE HIM with all my heart and want to spend the rest of my life with him...but he needs a little straightening up. I've told him for years that I would go to therapy with him - regarding anything....his broken/messed up childhood...alcohol related 'problems' which are only a few times a year, however several times monthly he'll drink too much - on top of the nights that he just drinks 'regularly'. What do you think? Today is just day 1. And he is staying the night at my brothers, but I told him, if you REALLY love me, and want to spend the rest of your life with me, you'll give me a break.

  You have to decide if he's worth it. You have to decide if he never changes do you really want to be with him and have that life for the rest of your life. The fact of the matter is, no one can make an alcoholic change. The alcoholic has to want to change, and even when they start on the bandwagon of change, it can take years, many falls along the way, and a whole lot of trial and error before they actually do change. So, do you love him and can you handle him for who he is, which right now is an alcoholic. If you can't, then it's time for you to move on and let him have his life, alcohol and all.
