What Happens when you die, Do you just Rot does it just end there (10 Points)?

My personal belief is that you live your life to learn a lesson. Once that lesson is learned you pass onto another life until you have learned all there is to learn about life... Then you pass onto another consciousness. I believe theres more than nothing,,, just not a heaven and hell.

Where are the dead? Read the account of Lazarus, Jesus friend. John 11 verses 1-44. When Lazarus was brought back from his death. He had nothing to say about an after life. If he would have, don't you think it would have been written down in the scriptures. Romans 15:4 tells us all thing were written down aforetime for out benefit. Here is what the bible says about the dead. Gen. 3:19: “In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.” Eccl. 9:10: “All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol [“the grave,” KJ, Kx; “the world of the dead,” TEV], the place to which you are going.” What is the condition of the dead? Eccl. 9:5: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.” Ps. 146:4: “His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts [“thoughts,” KJ, 145:4 in Dy; “all his thinking,” NE; “plans,” RS, NAB] do perish.” John 11:11-14: “‘Lazarus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep.’ . . . Jesus said to them outspokenly: ‘Lazarus has died.’” (Also Psalm 13:3) Is there some part of man that lives on when the body dies? Ezek. 18:4: “The soul [“soul,” RS, NE, KJ, Dy, Kx; “man,” JB; “person,” TEV] that is sinning—it itself will die.” Isa. 53:12: “He poured out his soul [“soul,” RS, KJ, Dy; “life,” TEV; “himself,” JB, Kx, NAB] to the very death.” (Compare Matthew 26:38.)

Two days ago...my best friend told me she had to stay with her mother because she was having knee surgery and her mom almost died( or actually was dead for two minutes) because of the wrong pain medicine. She woke up and said she saw a bright light...(yes, everyone tells this story) and said she saw her dead husband there...but something pulled her away from the entrance I guess to the "afterlife". She later woke up hours later and said she felt peace and that evrything was going to be allright. I really don't know the answer you are seeking...but I was touched by this story.

never let anyone tell you what happens, the bible was written by people who were ALIVE wasn't it? the best thing is not to obsesses over death, live in the present and live the best life you can. life is to be enjoyed in spite of religous extremists! usually the most MISERABLE sob's you ever meet. peace.

the only real answer is that no body knows. many claim to, but none can prove it. you are supposed to go out and find the answers that works for you. what do i think? i think that we came from something, before we came here. and when we leave this world we will go somewhere else. it is in this way that we become one with the force.

100% u will rot were u lay or unless u r cremated but your soul lives on, depending on what kinda of life u lead, and choices u make we be your final resting place..I can not see there being only one religon that one has to be to go to heaven or hell, some may call it other places and thats fine, I think most faiths want u to treat others as you would like to be treated...but facts are facts and u can spend the very most for a casket made from bronze or copper but,,are body's r made up of 75%water just like the earth, so if you weighed 100lbs at the end of rot/decay you'll be 25lbs of bones...thats for sure..your own beliefs come from with in..all this just didn't happen I am sure of that, I didn't come from a ape, I dont think a big bang created this, or may thats the way the gods did it...
