How do I call an objective-c method?

Does Mark Batterson's church growth method call for follow up when a person leaves the church?

  • Okay, no one was able to tell me what church growth method my former pastors were following, but thinking about it, I remembered that while they were obsessed with running around to little conferences, they were REALLY obsessed with going to Mark Batterson's conferences.. so I think they were following his method.. anyways, my former pastor sent me a message asking me if I had found a new church, and I told him about my new church, and then I realized that in Rick Warren's church growth method, the jilted former pastor is supposed to call the person's new pastor and tell them that the person should never be put in a leadership position So now I'm worrying that he called my new pastor and bad mouthed me.. does Mark Batterson's method call for that, or is it just Rick Warren?

  • Answer:

I am very familiar with Rick Warren's methods and this calling the other church leader is NOT a part of his methods. I have never heard of Mark Batterson before however, when a person leaves it would do good for a pastor to followup out of concern and care for that person and the health of his congregation. ***UPDATE*** Pricilla, I have read the Purpose Driven Church Book more than once and this practice is NOT detailed in the book. ***UPDATE*** Could you please cite a source that you got this information?
