Is God Omnipotent? If so?

Theists (those who believe in an omnipotent god who loves us) ...?

• ...Is God 'above' or 'beyond' or 'more powerful than' logic ? yes or no. Or maybe . Or I don't know. In otherwords, can God make a rock too heavy for God to lift? (and, a recent discovery, could God overcome the handicap of non-existence and still create the universe ?). Now, these two questions usually result in 'God is not above logic' b/c they're so incredibly glaringly obvious even to theists. So theists say 'no, God is not above logic'. But then I ask you how a loving god can even create a hell for us to go to and you start making excuses for an omnipotent being, excuses about choice/free will. Sorry but if God knows what's going to happen if he presses button A (people in hell) or button B (everyone in heaven just hanging out and laughing) and still presses button A, that's not a loving god. For God to still press button A, he must be above logic. So....is God above logic or NOT above logic. Eitherway, since theists can't agree with themselves, they can hardly blame atheists for not agreeing with them.

  Do you really want an answer, or are you just venting? Maybe try thinking "outside the box". Consider the idea that maybe, contrary to mainstream theistic thought, God doesn't send anyone to hell, He doesn't get offended, He isn't punitive, jealous, angry, vindictive, misogynistic, or xeno-phobic. What would be the purpose of an omnipotent, all loving deity to punish someone for all eternity, using the cruelest torture imaginable? Sounds a lot like something a human might do to get even. So maybe God isn't wrong. Maybe we just have the whole idea of Him wrong.
