Are you considering backing gun control laws?

I knew a lady once that was telling me about her ex that used to pull guns on her and threaten her all the time. I asked her that she must be against guns now. She told me absolutely not. She does not like them but we must never give up our rights to have them. It is too easy for a government to gain control of people and this lesson has been taught over and over throughout history. It was the first time it had been put to me that way from a person that hated guns but realized the bigger picture. It became particularly evident during 9/11. The fear of people was so vast they were ready to give up all control to the government for the feeling of safety. People say how can this happen in a christian nation? The fact is had already happened. Waco was a prime example of it. Sure these people were a cult and nuts in my opinion. However they had no illegal arms, just sold guns at gun shows to support themselves. Guns in Texas are big business. The local sheriff used to visit once a week with Koresh and said they were very peaceful people. ATF right before appropriation meetings in congress decided to serve a warrant. They had setup a trailer with already laid out press releases of their victory over an armed cult. They stormed in tearing into their buildings and the Davidians fought back. The Davidians even called 911 and asked the police to come and arrest the ATF. They defeated the ATF and the ATF withdrew. In response the FBI surrounded the compound, moved the media two miles back and told the media the Davidians had a cannon that could shoot over a mile. They filled the compound full of CS powedered teargas, knocked the corners of the buildings out and fired military grade teargas missles which are highly flammable. The place errupted in fireball and burned down in minutes. The FBI photographer quit after taking pictures of kids with their spines broke backwards. This is a condition that happens when the human body has so much teargas it cant breath. The body bends backwards and breaks the spine killing the person. Three Texas ranger captains almost started arresting FBI agents because the moved the Davidians cars and took the metal doors from the compound. These are key trajectory evidence for what happened. That is major crime scene tamporing. Houston fire cheif testified at the senate hearings that the compound was setup with teargas and ventilated with the purpose of burning them out. These were Americans in their own country exercising their freedoms. If you wanted to arrest them it would have been as simple as two agents with the sheriff that knew them and they would have given up. Or arrest Koresh in the many times he was in town walking around. Now that happened in these so called modern times in a chrisitan civilized country. Just imagine if the government had no stop-gap at all from its people? Davidians today, Baptist and Catholics tomorrow. Bottom line: Gun control only keeps citizens that obey the law from guns. Criminals dont care and still get them. Right now people in Houston are thankful to have guns and the concealed weapon law. Since Katrina and the New Orleans people have moved into Houston, crime has rose 70%. Nice neighborhoods that had no home invasions are having them once a month now. Homicides are up. N.O. gangs are in a war with Houston gangs. What makes it worst is Houston has a police shortage because of many retirements. Hotels that housed the N.O. people have been burned down. You wont find any anti-gun people in Houston now.

Consider this... Before WWII, Hungary had one of the lowest crime rates in the world, and the government REQUIRED, that's right, required that every household own a gun. Now, guns are restricted from Hungary's citizens, and now Hungary is #16 on the list of world crime rate. If we take away the right to own guns from the honest, truly law-abiding citizens, what is there to stop criminals from procuring guns illegaly on the black market? An example of this would be when the US outlawed automatic assault rifles. If you look at the statistics, many many crimes are committed with these illegal guns. Outlawing guns will only do one thing, deprive the law-abiding citizens from the right to defend themselves.

gun control is a big joke, people kill people, and they will use whatever is at hand. also it does not stop criminals form getting all the guns and ammo they want.

Proper gun control is hitting the center of the target each time. Only an armed citizen is truely free, to protect his rights and property. The government has time and time again proved that when they unarm the population it is not soon that they take control and take the rights of that citizen away.

There are no gun control laws that work. We must hold criminals accountable for there actions. Don't blame guns. Your history lesson needs to spread for those who believe gun control makes them safer. More children are killed and injured playing football than guns will ever hurt. Yet no one ever proposes outlawing football. Why?

When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns ! The right to bear arms was for defending our country and not to kill for sport or to kill with the purpose of stealing. I love to shoot my guns but I feel they need to investigate people more that try to buy them but then they will obtain them from other people that need to sell them. I feel certain guns should be outlawed but then I am also against hunting animals as a sport. I have guns and I was raised on how to use guns safely and even took my son to a safety course.Taking away all guns would be like telling people they can no longer have sex.There will be violence and war as long as the earth exsists.

yes because it would save lifes and it would have less violence and it would be better that way than to have people died and have a lot of violences.

tell me this...where is faith in JESUS CHRIST to protect? What other purpose is there to have a gun in the home besides to shoot someone? If you shoot someone and kill them what have you done? If you murder someone, isn't that one of the Ten Commandments? THOU SHALL NOT KILL...knives are used for cutting up food, and can be used for stabbing, but guns only have one use, shooting ....so answer your own question from the questions that I ask you. Further more lets look at it even closer...We are told to come out from amongst them so that we be not partakers of their sins.... the sins of a corrupt government that is using the word Christian in order to further their agenda.
