Eve ate the forbidden fruit from the tree of good and evil because a serpent told her that she would be like God powerful. And she ate it even when God said not to.

The original sin was disobedience. Adam and Eve were told not to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge and Eve was deceived and ate as well as Adam. They disobeyed God.

Satan's sin and his fall is that which broke the world not the sin of taking the fruit from the tre of the knowledge of good and evil which brought death.
