What do you think about Satan being destroyed at the end of the 1000 year reign of Christ, why so much time?

Jesus died and the law of animal sacrfacie ended. Jesus came and lived according to what God told him to and he was the last sacrafice in hopes that all MIGHT have a chance a eternal life. Lets say my superior put me in charge of work detail and I could have do this detail whoever I chose. I than will go and do the whole detail myself, so than I know If I could do it, whoever else I chose could do it too. Get it? got it? Read it again. This is what Jesus did, he was an example.

I can not answer until I understand what you mean by destroyed. Isn't he just chained for eternity in the lake of fire after the 1000 year reign. And the reason he is set loose after the reign is because some how there will be those who will follow him instead of God even after living under God's reign. I have no clue as to why or how any human could be so dense but apparently there will b those like that and the purpose of Satan being released is to expose them and for them so that they would be shamed. Traitors that are revealed to the loyalists. Those who are of God's kingdom will have the right to see the liars that coomune with them. The light will be shown.

I don't think 1000 is a literal period of time. In the book of Revelations there are many things that are spiritual in nature such as the seven stars, candlesticks or the serpent casting water out of his mouth. I believe the 1000 years is also spiritually discerned. Jesus did bound satan at the cross. Satan is still bound, but from what? He is bound from the true church. He is let loose after a 1000 years to "try" those who claim to be part of the church. When the 1000 years is up that is when Jesus returns for His church and judge the wicked. If you notice in the Bible the return of Jesus or rapture as some call it and the judgment all happen on the last day, at the last trump. We always search scripture and compare verses with verses. There's life in doing so. John 5:39 "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." 1Corinthians 2:13 "Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual."
