What is the nature of dendrothermal energy?

Is there really energy within nature?

  • So I was talking to my great uncle, and he told me (*as a biology professor at Brown university*). That all living things plants and animal/people warm-blooded and cold-blooded alike create nature's own source of energy, weather it be super low radiation or electricity caused by the brain, as I do not know myself, I wish to know, is it its own specific energy, or is it just random collections of electrons from your brain that's detectable. But as my own studies have concluded were just atoms held together by minute levels of radiation holding atoms together to make more dense random collections of life and un-life such as the earth, which itself without technology has many different types of energy, but that's not exactly what I am after, Is there a such thing at its basic level, Nature energy?

  • Answer:

No. Rule of life the Universe and Everything; You cannot -create- energy, you can release it, or convert one form to another, but you can never never ever create it. Essentially a good chunk of energy in nature and on earth comes from the Sun; Light energy allows for CO2 to be stored as a solid, from Photosynthesis in plants (I think as glucose, or sugars, but don't hold me to that) which may then be eaten by animals and sugars are used in cells to generate heat, movement, brain impulses and some is just excreted. So Animals do not really generate Energy, so much as convert energy stored in sugars to other forms. As we have learned, you can't create energy, so most energy from animals will just end up as heat in the atmosphere which may then aid photosynthesis and growth of plants in the future, in a way recycling the energy. As for radiation, it's everywhere. The earth it's self releases a lot of Radiation via Igneous rocks. I'm an Environmental scientist, not a physicist, so I don't really understand radiation to a well enough degree to pass comment, but I've never heard of animals releasing notable amounts of Radiation, presuming they're not feeding off uranium 235 (: I'm not a neurologist, I have -no- idea how the brain works, and very few people do. It's a fantastic Organ.
