What was the largest tsunami ever happened?

Have you taken notice of how many earthquakes have happened since Tsunami? What does this mean?

  • It seems that there have been a multitude of earthquakes lately since the Tsunami. Scientists say that a huge one should happen soon near Nevada as the pressure is building up. Now there's a big one in China along with others in the news in the past year or so. Do you think there has been a lot more than average and what does this mean?

  • Answer:

It means that since the tsunami you've been taking more notice of earthquakes and the media have been reporting more of them. The actual frequency and magnitude of earthquakes has not changed by any significant factor - it's simply that people are now more aware of them

It means you are paying attention. The number of earthquakes has remained relatively constant over the years. The only difference is you are aware of them.

It just means nothing and there is nothing to worry about it because they are all natural and henceforth there will surely be no link between the 2006 tsunami and the recant earthquakes .I agree that the movement of the plates because of tsunami would increase the occurrence of other earthquakes but they will not be devilish!

Speculation, I wouldnt place any bets on this. There have always been major earth quakes, the only difference is that we have alot more equipment to record and monitor them when it happens.
