How is Drilling for oil damaging the Environment?

What are some environmental damages that oil drilling companies are doing to the environment?

  • I mean, from the dawson creep pipeline bombing, I dont see any reason why. They're just pipelines, not like they're going to kill a rabbit.

  • Answer:

Many long years ago, the industry, mostly due to ignorance3, ended up doing some pretty awful things. Square miles of Michagan were destroyed by the 'plugging; process of using the wellbore as a trash pit for every item and quart of stuff on location. Since then pipelines have become more safe and today only cause real problems when such as the bombings occur. Offshore drilling creates one tenth of the problems auto ownership does. Land drilling hasn't had a significant event in over 20 years, Nowadays, most well sites are more natural, more productive and safer than before the rig moved in. So.... today it's mostly myth and enviro-wackos making up stories from smoke and mirrors
