What will the earth will look like in the future?

Does the future(of the Earth) looks bright to you or does it look dull and polluted?

  • Having the Kyoto Protocol, many governments officials have held many projects of 'healing the Earth'. But is it of use? Will the Earth be brighter and healthier in the future? Or it will become more polluted and over used of resources? Give suggestions and also your point of view... Oh, and are you aware that astronomers are searching for other 'Earths'??? There might be hope....

    What do we need another "Earth" for if we can't manage this one? I do believe we can manage our Earth and that we will. Look at all the success we are having. Focus on what we are doing right. Banning CFC's have reversed the ozone depletion, agricultural advances are feeding the world (politics are responsible for starvation), modern medicine is extending human life and improving quality of life. My mother would of died yrs ago, but she is still with us and living a comfortable life. The point is that great things are happening all the time. It is our duty to support these things and focus on the positive. How about enjoying what we have instead of always trying to improve everything. As Ben Franklin said "everything is good in moderation". We will continue to grow as a species and with a little care and consideration for Mother Earth we will be happy here for many centuries to come. The energy crisis is forcing us to consider healthier, more sustainable ways of life. The simple fact is that necessity is the mother of invention and if we don't make a choice the choice will be made for us. All is well in the end.

I believe the earth is about to be cleansed of a huge number of it's inhabitants. I believe we are going to be exterminated by nuclear war at some point. There is simply too much war. Something bad (worse, should I say) is going to happen.

We are one Krakatoa away from a sudden change. One large volcano irruption changes the atmosphere more than man ever has, and it remains for years. Although, I think humans have a good chance of surviving!

The earth is a perfect place because it can sustain life. Humans are the plague of the earth. Like a flea infestation on a dog. They dig, drill, rob her of her natural rescourses just to better the lives of the few. They have had nothing but a negative effect on the natural functioning of the planet since the industrial revolution. Sort of like a hamster cage, starting out with a male and female, never being cleaned or cared for, outside of excessive feeding for the dominant members of the species. Sooner or later Mother Nature is going to get sick of it and expel us all from her planet. And if there are Aliens out there, the last thing that they would want is humans to spread out into the universe.
