    Being in Dubai this may sound odd, but you may consider joining the GPAA (Gold Prospectors Association of America) For 79.00 usd plus shipping you get a nice riffled pan , a snuffer bottle 6 bi-monthly magazines with lots of great information on all aspects of gold prospecting, a claims guide (a directory of all the claims leased by the club in the U.S.and Canada) and quarterly updates, a good video showing how to prospect, a hat and some other stuff. You can request no mining guide and save 20 bucks. There are lots of ads in the magazine for retailers of lots of prospecting gear. I've been panning now about 5 years and really enjoy this hobby. Mail order, I would suggest, or just use a skillet. Try this link, and look for gold panning clubs in the US. They can tell you what to look for, and how to do it. I don't know if Dubai has gold in the creek sediments, but then again, Missouri in the US has gold from the Rocky mountains around 600 miles away.
