How fast does the earth rotate in one minute?

Do you know one day Globe (Earth) will rotate opposite direction?

  • it will so soon as the mars is moving slowly and it will stop so soon then it will start to rotate opposit direction. we are watching many changes on the Earth like Quakes...

  • Answer:

Not true unless an abnormal event causes it to be so. What will happen is that over time the Earth's rotation will slow down till the year and the day are the same amount of time. Just like the Moon is right now.

If by soon, you mean a few million or billion years, you may MAY be slightly correct. After that starts happening, which would be a slow process, not a fast process, we would all be dead. If it happened as quickly as you claim it would, we would definitely all be dead. Anyhow, I may be misinterpreting your question with all the grammatical and spelling inconsistencies. I apologize if that is the case.

Yup, 2 million years is a somewhat short time in a atronomical sense. So it's not going to happen in my lifetime. But no, I didn't know one millenium it will. But it's a slightly pointless thing to know, but I'm full of that crap.

No...it won't...The only thing that can cause the Earth to reverse its course would be the pull of the moon's gravity, and the moon will have slipped out of orbit (which WILL happen) long before it will reverse the Earth's spin.

The Earth is not slowing down. In fact, I am sorry to say, nothing you just said makes a whole lot of sense. The Earth is never going to spin in the opposite direction (...except due to Superman). Also, what was that about Mars? I can't seem to understand what you're saying there. Some people argue that the core of the Earth is slowing, and this may actually have been proven. This will only affect the Earth's magnetic field, which could severely affect the environment, but will do nothing to the Earth's rotation.

If anything, the earth will revolve faster in relation to the sun since it is getting closer to it over the eons. I do know that the poles (north and south) do flipflop every few millinia, but that is a natural occurance and will not have to anything to do with the rotation.

No, the poles will switch. It will still spin the same way in space.
