What if the Earth was created with 75% land and 25% water?

• What if the Earth was created with 75% land and 25% water? Not if it were to suddenly become 75% land, but if it were always like that? Obviously it be much colder, and drier, but what other changeswould happen. Especially with animals, plants, and the climate? Thanks.

  Honestly, the potential for large organisms would be drastically decreased. Due to the cold environment would likely be frozen. Depending on the atmosphere and HOW cold, i mean evolution can still exist. For instance fish can live under frozen lakes, the ice can only drop to a certain temperature (in most conditions) and remain as an insulator to the outside temperature. If there WERE creatures on land, the evolution would be drastically different. Primarily it depends on the evolution. For instance, if they evolved from the ground, then they would likely be more nitrogen based, use light as a primary energy source, and water would play a very minor role. For us, water is a very important resource and respected as life giving properties - this exists only because we evolved from the water, we came from creatures that based their entire existance on that water.
