Why is geometry important and how can you use it in real life?

Depends on what you want to do when you grow up =P Architecture? An engineer of sorts...go wild, anything that involves shapes, there's geometry. Oh! And an awesome pool player ;P

you can't. but it is important because it is the fundamentals of more advanced math, that does have applications. like linear algebra or economics or image analysis or calculus. i guess you could use it, if you wanted to measure something or find how many of an object you can buy depending on how much money you have.

You don't its just to pass the class, make it to college or do whatever you want to do. Basically they teach it to you to teach you problem solving and to challenge yourself and keep your brain learning and active. Not important but important if you want to make it out of high school and onto college. Hope i helped =]

If you owned a company and they earned a rate of 10,000 dollars a month plus 4percent of that. That's an example. Math is very crucial and you need to understand it or you won't be as succesful as you want to be.

The creation of machines, housing, air bags in cars, etc.... all depend on people proficient in Geometry

Haha I ask myself that same question every day. I know that it will help you later on in other math classes.....i just have to pass geometry first to advance to those! lol :]
