You just multiply the number on top by the multiplyer. ex. 3/2 x 2 = 6/2

Just multiply the top part of the fraction by the whole number. (3 / 2 ) times 2 = 6 / 2 Then you should reduce the fraction to proper form. Think about 1/2 of a pie. If you have 6 halves, how many pies do you have?

morningfoxnorth

just multiply them together

It's 3/2 times 2/1 which equals 6/2 or 3/1 or 3!!

Dancin' HOTTIE!!

you have to that whole number and put it over 1. 3/2 x 2/1 = 6/2 which reduced makes 3/1 which equals 3. :]

Katie

3/2 X 2/1 = 6/2 = 3 answer is 3

Outsiders Freakā™„

First divide 3 by 2. Then muliply the result by 2.

Alex

"over" in your example means divided by so the answer is 3 as follows: 3 x 2=6 6 divided by 2= 3 To use different numbers 6 over 2 multiplied by 4 = 12

b_steeley

turn the whole number into "whole number / 1" and then multiply in the usual way by multiplying the numerators and then multiplying the denominators and then reduce as neccessary christo
