  • How many stars are in the sky visible to the un-aided eye? b) if you use a pair of binoculars?

  • Answer:

Somewhere around 100,000 - 600,000 more stars with the binoculars, depending on the size of the binos and the sky condition. Around 20 - 6000 stars with your naked eyes, depending on the sky condition. There are a lot more dim stars than bright ones. See the charts in the link below.

About 6000 stars can be seen with the naked eye. Depends of the size of the binoculars but I would say at least 60000.

approximately 6000 are visible to the unaided eye. Only half that at one time. Depends on the power of the bioculars, say 10 to 12 thousand
