How many people doubt the moon landing?

Yesterday, I watched "Fact or Faked Paranormal Files." Was the moon landing a hoax? What do you think?

  • I'm neutral on this subject, because I really don't care. If you do care? I am not trying to insult you. I'm just being honest. However, this low-budget TV show gave a very convincing argument as to how easily it could have been done. They also put forth compelling reasons why our government and NASA would have done such a thing. After creating a very convincing argument for people who doubt that the moon landing was real? The panel of experts all said they didn't believe it was faked. I'm starting to wonder if ANYTHING is unquestionably REAL anymore.

    I like to take a different approach when discussing the moon landing hoax. 1. The moon landings allegedly occurred during the Cold War. America and the Soviet Union had tens of thousands of nuclear weapons pointed at each other and came close to all-out war many times before. 2. It is very easy to determine the source of a radio broadcast. 3. Communication between the Apollo astronauts and ground bases in America were not encrypted or scrambled in any way. Anyone on Earth could listen in, including the Soviets. 4. If the Apollo astronauts didn't go to the moon, radio transmissions would not have been detected as originating from the moon, but from somewhere on Earth (or Earth orbit). 5. If radio broadcasts were not coming from the moon, the Soviet Union would have noticed this and told the world that the moon missions were faked. The Soviet Union had no reason to help the United States fake the moon landing. 6. If the Soviet Union didn't complain, then the moon landings were real.

We have absolute proof the landings were genuine: have you ever heard of Lunar Laser Ranging experiment? The landing couldn't have been faked for too many reasons tom mention but if you doubt it, you can actually verify the authenticity of landings through a simple experiment. On 21 July 1969, the crew of Apollo 11 positioned reflectors on the moon. By shooting a (very powerful) laser at it and with the help of a powerful multiplier and a computer (the light wouldn't be visible to naked eye), you can observe how the light bounces back. That is a conclusive proof there are man-made objects on the Moon and by default, that the landings were very much genuine.

A workforce this large is unwieldy to secretly keep under control by blackmail or bribery. * laser reflectors positioned on the Moon at Apollo landing sites, in regular use by observatories all over the world. There's nothing easy about pulling of a hoax which fits all of these details. Indeed, it seems like it would be harder than simply GOING. @Kobe Chen: Yes. The flag moves after the pole itself is moved, and it oscillates like a pendulum, exactly as it would without atmosphere.

Your question is vague. Apollo 11 happened. The movie Apollo 18 said that it happened, but it DIDN'T. Yes, we landed on the Moon. WE have proof, i dont know where the heck you found it that it never happened because whoever told you that is sorely mistaken. Rocks from the moon were brought back and given to other countries as ambassadorial gifts. So how do they think it never happened? We just magically ended up with the specimens, radio transmissions, and videos? okay. whatever.

I don't care what kind of 1970's special effects (Poor) they had. How do you fake 1/6 Earth's gravity?! Don't be stupid.

Diana - youre correct but sadly, the project is no longer in operation. :( lost funding a few years back. Still, that is true. But to expand on it: the mirrors were set up at a time when we didnt have any reliable robotics, at all. They had to have been assembled by human hands, on site.

The moon landing could of been faked. We had the technology for it but, we had the technology to go to the moon as well. So, it's just really up to you. Only the government knows for sure.
