How many stars in the sky?

How many stars are there in sky?

  • stars in the sky

  • Answer:

Stars are not scattered randomly through space, they are gathered together into vast groups known as galaxies. The Sun belongs to a galaxy called the Milky Way. Astronomers estimate there are about 100 thousand million stars in the Milky Way alone (100 billion.) Outside that, there are millions upon millions of other galaxies also!

Since the universe is infinite, I would say the number of stars is infinite.

your naked eye can see about 3000 or so (when far away from any artificial light, cities) in our galazy there are 100 billion there are 100 billion observable galaxies so there are well over 1 000 000 000 000 000 000stars that's 100 quintillion million = 6 zeros billion = 9 trillion= 12 quadrillion=15 QUINTILLION=18 sextillion=21 septillion=24 octillion=27 nonillion=30 decillion=33

According to Carl Sagan Billions and Billions. There are more stars in the sky than grains of sand on earth and sand is the most common element here

The answer is that it depends on the ability to see. To a blind man the answer is always zero. If all you have are your eyes the number is about 6000 - although even that number depends on your location. If you live at or near either of the poles you can only see about half of the bright stars. If you live near the equator you can see almost all of the stars. With a telescope you can see more stars. The bigger the telescope the more stars you can see. There comes a point where there are too many stars to see. When a single galaxy contains 400,000,000,000 stars the ability to "see" stars becomes meaningless.
