What will our future be?

What will the future of the universe become? Will it keep expanding or not ?

  • What will happen to the galaxies and stars in universe? Will the universe be end someday? Will protons and neutrons be broken someday? What will our universe be like in the far future?

  • Answer:

I like to start from square one OK. can any of you name (300-500)galaxies their locations and how long does it take to reach the nearest one? bear in mind we have over 5 billion galaxies in our universe.(it looks red therefore is coming toward us,it looks blue ooooh that must be moving away from us).just tell me are those galaxies standing still,or are they constantly revolving ( moving) with veriable-speeds. if our universe started from singularity then the sum of our universe must be equal to that singularity.we don't even know our solar-system location in our galaxy,or how far from our milky-way's black-hole( every galaxy has a black-hole).we have to travel with the speed of light for hundreds of thousands and may be millions of yrs. from one galaxy to another.and here we are assuming the earth is flat, earth is the center of the universe( just as bad when people used to think that for 1500 yrs.) the bottom-line there is an empty-space within the structure of the atoms, and molecules, the same is true between galaxies except it's called( balck matter) the same force that keep an atom or molecules together is the same force that keep our universe in a sum equal to the orginil sum of singularity.the universe will always be in a cycle(death and berth of stars) galaxsies smash or merge into one another protons and neutrons will always be in the nucleus of simple atoms(hydrogen),our universe will not fold or collapse into singularity it just keep on changing( infinite-cycle of generating and salvaging stars and planets)

2 theories. 1. Big Crunch: Gravity will take over and the universe will collapse back into the singularity that created the big bang, infinite energy, 0 mass. 2. Big Freeze: Universe will keep expanding, stars will waste all their power and everything will be just a big frozen lot of matter, 0 energy.

At present the expansion is accelerating, for reasons that are not understood. In the past, the expansion went through a period of acceleration that both begain and ended for reasons that are not understood. So: we don't know.

Our current understanding is that the universe is expanding and doing so at an increasing rate. We don't have a really good idea why the expansion is increasing in rate. One theory is that in the extremely distant future the universe will expand so far that all matter will lose cohesion and break apart into their constituent subatomic particles.

The universe most likely will keep on expanding, or at least, that is what scientists say. Others have many different theories, like the Big Rip, which is supposed to happen when the universe gets too big. This is kind of like a balloon. The balloon will only be blown up to a certain point before the latex rips and all the air inside is released. Some say that the universe will do the same, where the boundary will be met and everything will rip apart by the atoms to where all that is left is protons, electrons, and neutrons. Another guess is that the universe will reach maximum capacity, and will end up retracting back down to a marble again. Kind of like a balloon again, they think that the latex will not stretch far enough, and the mouth-piece is unplugged, letting all the air out and having the balloon shrivel back down to a marble.
