Whats the real story behind the joker?

  • every time i look up the joker, there is never a consistency about his past..who is he and why is he like this? does he rank as one of the greatest villains ever?

    He was called jack and had a wife that was pregnant. He used to work in a factory that made chemical substances that was about to be sold, so he was fired, adn with that he had no money to sustain his growing family so he met up with some gangsters that wanted to break in into the factory and they needed his help as he was an employee, and they were going to give him enough money for his wife and his son, but when they got to the factory they informed him that his pregnant wife was murdered and if he didn't continue he was going to be murdered too. So he helped them but when they got into the factory batman and other policemen where waiting for them. The police killed the gangsters that were with jack and in an attemp to fire to batman and other policemen jack falled into a huge container with dangerous substances and his skin turned white, his hair green and his lips were tainted violet red. There's another version that says that he was a failed comedian and that's why he became a thief, but you can find the full version in the comic the last joke or something like that, hope i helped you

The whole thing about the Joker is that he doesn't need a reason to do the things he does, he just does them. He is the definition for anarchy. The Joker doesn't have a past, that's just the way he is. And yes, in my opinion, that makes him one of the greatest villains ever. :]

In the dark knight, he has no past says director nolan. all we know is that the joker used to have a wife, and he cut his face. in 1989's batman he was jack naiper and he got deformed in some kind 0f acid. thats how he became the joker. theres so many different stories. the joker is my #1 villian :)

in the cartoon he was a robber and then he fell in to some acid liquid or something and then he became mad. he was still the same person who enjoys killing other people for his own desire. Joker is know to be batman's real enemy.
