How do I become an actress without taking classes?

1. Do casting workshops. Usually available through acting classes. 2. Depends on the movies. If you want to do anything good you need a SAG card, which requires an agent. Which would have required some work in acting class. 3. Get an agent. Work. Acting class. 4. Acting is like any other profession in this world. If you want to be good at it you need to do it everyday. Acting is a craft, not something you just step into and do professionally. Don't care how talented your parents think you are. Having said that, you need to take classes, or at least find scenes, find people to act with, and just do it. You will never know what you are right for unless you start to work. The most talented actors I know do something every single day to try and advance their career. It's not the 50's anymore, Marilyn is dead. No one is ever just 'discovered.' They had to make people pay attention.
