How do you become an extra in a movie?

  • I really want to be involved in a movie, and i think starting off as an extra would be cool. But, how do you become an extra.

I'll tell ya something. I've only ever been an extra once. I hated it! I was an extra for a tv show called Terra Nova. Aside from that I've done 1 short and 1 student film. The 1 short is being turned into a feature. But I don't recommend going to see it, it's ****. In August I'm filming a different feature. And I can tell you this movie is amazing. I got most of my work off Starnow. Which is like an online thing where casting directors can put up adds that you apply for. I've never done an acting class, nor have I ever had Professional head shots done. www.starnow.com Is the site you NEED to sign up to. It's cheaper and better then any agent.
